Buttonwood Farm Session - Griswold, CT Family Photographer

I met up with the adorable C Family at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold, CT when the sunflowers were in full bloom! Little M is one super-cool toddler. She loves Zac Brown Band (I do too!), so her parents put on "Chicken Fried" to get a few smiles. I attempted singing it, but I think she was just laughing at me.
So much for ice cream - by the time we got done the line was about 40 people deep!
It was great meeting you - I hope you guys have an awesome time at the concert! :)

Miss Maddie Turns 3 - CT Children's Photographer

I can't believe Madison is almost 3. That means, exactly a year ago I asked her mom (one of my best college friends) if I could practice taking photos of her daughter because I was thinking of doing children's photography. She was on-board and excited. Before this, I had taken photos of kids in my family for my photography courses, so I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. I had a blast, and Madison was a dream to photograph. I'm proud of those first photos, and I've come so far since then. Megan, thank you for letting Madison be my first model, and for being one of my biggest fans - I love your little fairy princess!

Baby Ethan - CT Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this big boy a couple of weeks ago, and his adorable older sister, Hannah a few weeks before that. Ethan was such a sweetheart, and slept for the first half of our session. We then took him outside where there were so many new noises and he was wide awake but kept yawning! Congrats, A&R on your precious little man! :)

L Family - CT Family Photographer

I wanted to do a family photo session with my aunt & uncle's family, so when they came down from NH for an annual family picnic, we got together the next day at the Connecticut College Arboretum at high noon (I do not normally do sessions at this time, nor would I ever recommend it) in really, really hot weather.

So I've had the pleasure of seeing these beautiful girls grow up in such a loving, fun family. Their parents got married when I was around 10, and they were our "fun, young aunt & uncle" who loved kids. So it's great to see them with 4 girls of their own now that they've done an amazing job of raising. I had so much fun with them - everyone was cooperative (yes, including Uncle Jim), full of energy (besides Abby's few yawns) and did a phenomenal job on their wardrobe choice! Love you guys - I hope you enjoy your photos!

Poor Becca - she's the most ticklish
I've taken alot of photos of these gorgeous girls throughout the years, but this was the first time all-together! The youngest, adorable Rory, who is a mini-version of her oldest sister. I can't believe she's 4?! She was so funny and asked me "Stephanie, why are you smiling so much?" In the words of Buddy the Elf "Smiling's my favorite"!Stunning Darcy, rockin' her palm tree necklace and model poses... love it!The Beautiful Becca (Darcy's twin), who is a spitting image of her mom
The gorgeous TEENAGER, Abby. I remember when she was a baby! Gosh, that makes me pretty old now...

Photo Displays - CT Family Photographer

Today one of my awesome clients sent me a picture of the beautiful displays she had done with some of my photos. It's always such an honor to see your work displayed as art in someone's house. When it comes to custom photography, bigger is better. The smaller photos are 8x10's, and the larger one is 11x14 - what an impression they make, and I love the matted larger frames!

This is their mantle (Mom took the photo on the way right - she's quite the photographer herself!):

They also did another wonderful arrangement in their bathroom: Thanks so much for sharing these with me, M --- you did a beautiful job, and totally made my day! :)

Miss Hannah - CT Child Photographer

I've known Hannah's mother since I was 10 years old - she used to play barbies and watch Barney with my baby sister, so it was so much fun getting to know her daughter and get to run around and play with her!
We wandered around the beautiful grounds of the Conn College Arboreteum, looking for bugs and blowing bubbles. I even brought an adorable tutu for her to wear, and the sweetheart thought I had a "choo-choo" in my bag (she LOVES trains!), so she was a little disappointed it was something for her to wear, but she was great and had fun running around in it. Isn't she just gorgeous?
She was a little shy at first, but she warmed up very quickly once we popped bubbles together. The rest of the session I spent running around with her while her very pregnant mom rested.
She's a brave little girl - picking up bugs and all :)
Twirling in her tutu
I love these images - the represent childhood to me. Exploring, having fun & playing
A special thank you to Genny Christensen of Sweet Pea Designs for making this beautiful tutu! Check out her designs here: http://sweetpeatutus.blogspot.com/
