Ava's Debut - CT Newborn Photographer

A few weeks ago I got to take pictures of a photographer's "dream baby" - aka this little angel slept for me the entire session! I was so psyched to have a newborn girl and finally use all my cute girl props! Her mom was awesome and laid back and even let me take Ava outside and photograph her in a basket. I have not seen this amount of hair on a baby until her... and it is STRIKING. It really stands out in the photographs and is just sooo cute! Introducing, Miss Ava!

I loved this one so much it is now a 16x20 canvas that will go in my office:

Beautiful Family - CT Family Photographer

I got together with this gorgeous family at Harkness on a foggy, chilly morning. After some jumping jacks, giggles, and a game of duck, duck, goose (or "Princess, Princess, Tiara" as the girls changed it to), I think they warmed up quite nicely to get some really cute shots. I haven't taken too many family photos yet, so this family was such wonderful practice -- they made it too easy for me, and had me laughing alot!

These girls are beautiful, with personalities to match:

Mom did an AWESOME job with picking out these colorful sundresses.

This is where the girls get those striking good looks from -- how cute are they!

Details, Details

Today as I was editing the rest of the twins newborn session I came across this photo of Collin's toes, so tiny, curled & perfect...

I LOVE the tiny details on a newborn...they will never be that small again... melts my heart (and mom & dad's too)!

A Work In Progress...

I've been hard at work these past few months - between portfolio building and attending 3 amazing workshops (The Savvy Photographer, GoPro by Blue Lily, and In-Camera by Gray Photography) and learning a WEALTH of information from these amazing teachers, photographers, mentors. I am SO grateful to all of them, and so happy I am able to take what I've learned and apply it to my business. I am also incredibly lucky to have the most amazing clients, friends and family, who have supported my dream and business along the way. I have been blessed to meet fabulous families and children - their beautiful faces now grace my website, facebook and now BLOG! :)
I have a long journey ahead to become the photographer and business person I want to be...I am growing and learning everyday (including how to customize my blog!). Thanks SO much for coming along!
For now, check out this little cutie - I had the pleasure of taking his newborn photos last week! His ahh-mazing, and creative parents had a bunch of props ready for me when I arrived - including a football, flag (he's being christened on the 4th of July!), and adorable hat! I come prepared with props of my own, but I encourage any parents if you have something special or unique to you or your child you'd like incorporated in your session it really customizes it and makes it your own!
